About Marcus Wolf, MPA

Marcus boasts a rich tapestry of experience across the spheres of public, private, and nonprofit sectors, where he has excelled in roles spanning communications, campaign management, fundraising, and public/voter outreach. His journey began alongside a renowned consultant, where he lent his expertise to support over 15 legislative clients through a gamut of tasks including initiative research, election strategy formulation, and comprehensive campaign finance and budgeting services.

With a deft hand, Marcus has steered and championed numerous campaigns both locally and statewide. Notable among these are his pivotal roles in orchestrating the California Democratic Party's vote mobilization efforts for Lt. Governor Eleni Kounalakis and spearheading the triumphant No on Prop. 26 campaign in 2022. Moreover, he has left an indelible mark on over 20 local electoral races within the vibrant Greater Sacramento area.

A connoisseur of public engagement methodologies and adept at leveraging cutting-edge software platforms, Marcus continues to lend his insights as a consultant to the California Emerging Technology Fund. Here, he devises and executes astute public polling strategies to gauge the effectiveness of the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), overseen by the Federal Communications Commission. Previously, he served as a Special Assistant to California's State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Tom Torlakson.

Prior to founding his own consultancy, Marcus distinguished himself as a Project Manager at a boutique public relations firm. In this capacity, he steered the acquisition of new business ventures and orchestrated media management endeavors, communication audits, and social media strategies for a diverse array of governmental clients. Notable among these were the Placer County Water Agency, the Association of California Water Agencies, the City of Sacramento Community Development Department, and the City of Sacramento Department of Utilities.
